The 'Snow storm' missed us too, we had around 6 inches predicted but got a 'gnats whisker' in the end :heehee:, just about enough to cover the ground thinly...

My parents live in mid-Cheshire and they said it was bad there for a while with blizzard conditions leaving a few inches on the ground with a short space of time..

1'c outside now. We had about 4 inches of snow last night.
Looking forward to the milder weather!

It snowed last night but this morning most of the snow has gone. Just a few patches dotted around.

dry and the cloud is trying to break

here snow has all gone and after the amount of rain we had last night we should need any for weeks on Thursday our road was like the down hill slaloms and last night it resembled Niagara falls!

Just read about this on the news, I dread this happening to me. Going to put my sleeping bag in the boot just in case we get another bad spell. I hope everyone got home safely.

I think we had your six inches of snow, Bilbo, as the snow last night just kept coming. The thing was that there was no wind whatsoever and the snow was dropping straight down, thick and fast, so it was able to build up quite quickly. Today there's a definite thaw going on as you can see trickles of water coming off the garden seats, trees, and shrubs. Having said that, there is still a good depth of snow still lying around.:coffee:

Had the snow as forecasted last night - was also promised sun for today but it has yet to wake up. I would so much rather be outside than doing household jobs. This afternoon I cleaned the pantry out - good find 7 bottles of wine hiding at the back.
