What's Your Weather Like...? MK6...

Got home from work and checked the greenhouse and only smashed one panel.
Not too bad considering the wind today. Then checked weather for tomorrow
And there's a amber alert for snow (brilliant)

Manchester has an alert out though.

 

As it's an Atlantic flow, it should result in melting snow rather than snow that sticks around for days on end, the temperatures should be around 2-3C (34-37F) so snow will not settle on roads unless it is very heavy. I wouldn't worry too much.

 

Apart from when a severe cold spell is coming, then I collapse into a panicking wreck and start bracing backwards and forwards in the recovery position.

 

Wet heavy snow most of the day which melted on touching the ground
Then at 17:00 it got dark, the wet ground froze
The snow is back on very heavy, about 3cm deep at the moment 1c chill factor -8c

Raining heavily made worse by the gale force winds.....me no likey

 

oh my word.. literally two minutes ago it was 7C with rain, now it's 2.7C and trying to snow.. blurgh.

 

A mixture of cloud and sunshine today with the usual gale thrown in, 5C. Drove home over the mountain at 7.30pm (0C) in a blizzard, so it's likely to be white up there again tomorrow.

 

There is a storm raging outside, came out of nowhere
