It hasn't reached above freezing here today but I went out and did a little work. I continued working on the lawn edges but didn't bend down to pick everything up. The wind was so cold that if I bent down there would really be brass monkeys :snork:

A sunny day today with no wind so it felt quite mild outside, 7C. With the last couple of weeks staying dry and this coming week looking the same I think my hose pipe will have to be brought out of mothballs for the beds (sandy soil).

The temperature hasn't risen above freezing for a few days but I hope it may do so today.

It snowed all weekend, and is at it again - lots forecast for tonight and tomorrow. Max 3º or 4ºC.

A quiet day weatherwise today with very little wind. The lack of wind made the day seem warmer and more amicable. The temperature is 33f right now.:coffee:

Not a hint of sunlight. Dull, damp and still colder than I consider acceptable. Below average temperatures and the Camellias still say "NO",

Same again (dull, cold and cloudy), but this time with the addition of several hours of light rain this morning and feeling bitterly cold again..

Tuesday last week was a gloriously sunny day with no wind and an almost spring like feel to it.
Since then we've had 6 days of relentlessly dull, grey skies with a biting east wind and maximum temperatures hovering around 1°C each day.
Today continued in much the same vein, except that today's maximum reached a balmy 4°C. :phew:
About the only good thing you can say is that at least it's been dry. The east wind at any time of the year always brings drier air and the soil here is at last becoming drier and more friable than it's been for months.

Appears to be a lovely day in the making, very little cloud, light winds temp 1 degree, suddenly realised it`s getting light earlier, when I opened curtains 6-40 am it was daylight.
