We've had a couple of hours break from rain today, but my garden is now getting a well needed soaking. The wind is up, so that has made it feel coooler than the 8C we have had.

The temperature is going to drop a few degrees this weekend and into next week, but the sun is forecast to return on Monday.......back to the digging then! :)

Make the most of this milder spell.. it does look like a very cold, potentially long lasting spell potentially lasting right through March. Without wanting to sound alarmist, it could well be the coldest March on record by months end.. if not then definitely in the top 10 coldest Marches ever recorded!

I know people will say you cant predict that far out, but the collective signal is very strong.. a very unusually cold period of weather. Overnight Monday into Tuesday could see records broken on the west coast. As it stands, this March may down in history.. for all the wrong reasons :cry3:Lets hope the longer range outlook changes very soon!!

This may all be better if cloud figures into it (regarding the minimum temps). Im just annoyed because it takes a huge chunk out of the start of the growing season..

Still quite mild, about 6ºc at the moment, with max of 15º forecast. Apparently next week (Monday and Tuesday at least) it's going to snow. :ouch1:

10C and foggy. A gentle drizzle - a bit gloomy but everything out there looks happy about it. Nearly got a camellia out so the soil is warming up,

Still a bit foggy and damp - but no rain. It looks as though it might brighten up.
