Yesterday was warm and sunny and, at about 10.30 p.m., it started to get a bit damp. There was too much damp to be called a mist and too little to be called drizzle. This went on until 3 a.m.

Now it's 45F, overcast and dry and I expect the sun to appear later (I've put in a special order for it). Tonight they have forecast a touch of frost and below freezing by the weekend. That should make our winter flowering plants feel comfortable.

Fantastic day, and I'm stuck behind a desk at work - what a waste. I thought the nearest thing to being outside would be to have a wander through the GC corner. Better get back to doing some work!

The sun is just about to set. It was warm in the sun but is 42F now and beginning to feel a bit nippy.
