    I had to work a night shift last night, and it didn't really cool much until about 3am, and even then it barely qualified as pleasant.

    We had very limited electricity from 10pm until 2am (substation being worked on), which left us little to do in the dark - so we did some weeding by torchlight :biggrin:

    Today looks as though it is going to be another scorcher - 25ºC in the shade already. Not much to do in the garden today, so I think I will shampoo the carpets instead.

      It's cranked up to at least 28C here :phew: just made some kiwi/mango/strawberry ice lollies, hope they freeze quickly!!

        31ºC here this afternoon, with a bit of a warm breeze.

        I think I have just found a hotter job than working in the garden in this weather.... shampooing carpets! I am sweating from places I forgot I even had! :help:

        I cannot wait to get back from picking Mrs C up, and get into the shower.

            Foggy then overcast all day (think we are the only bit of the country without sun due to a band of cloud hugging the east coast) and about 18c, sun has just started to break through a bit though.

              Not sure what it reached today but it was a very clear blue sky, my guess is slightly lower than yesterday though.
              We have the NE wind picking up again, something that has been a problem since about Jan.:mad:

              Once that gets going things go downhill regarding temperatures in these parts, so not expecting anything spectacular in the next few days.

              It reached 87F today but there was more of a breeze so didn't fell quite as bad as yesterday. The wind has dropped this evening so is a bit sticky again.
