Been a relentless N Easterly during the night but its calmed down more now. Gonna be another warm one so I've been out and watered ALL containers and baskets and hosed the borders before the sun really gets up,

Pea-soup fog that's quickly burned off, it's going to be a hot one today!

24c this morning, 28c this afternoon, just a breeze and wall to wall sunshine, downside is that the grass has gone yellow in a week!

The weather has been very kind to me this last few days - had 3 of my daughter-in-laws family here for a week from the Czech Republic (over 70s), so it's been great for taking them around.
I don't speak Czech and they don't speak English :what: so at times I put Google translation on and we spoke through that. My daughter-in-law speaks very good English and was with them but says that it gets very tiring when they keep wanting her to translate everything.

In the evenings they have been quite happy just sitting in the garden until 11.00 drinking beer and ooing and aahing over all of the plants.

Whoa, up to 35.9c today ... :phew: ... and I had to go for a mammogram in a mobile unit midday but all went well! :dbgrtmb: It's 29.9c at the moment but we've lost our middle cat, Calvos since yesterday afternoon/evening so we are in 'panic mode' as we don't 'do' losing cats ... :love30:

Our Calvos is a sandwich short of a picnic, having found him 7 years ago this coming Saturday in a plastic sandwich bag at the rubbish bin just having been born, wet still with his umbilical chord. He's a 'mummy's boy' and sleeps on the bed. He's been 'attacked' and in the vets six times since then as he is 'silly' ... sits cross eyed and pokes his tongue out ... so I worry ... but he still has three lives left ..

Another wall to wall scorcherooo here in Battle but, living within 6 miles of the coast , it is appreciably cooler than inland and will be around the mid seventies again I think. Lovely in the shade under a tree or a parasol later...:)

Lovely boy :) why people can do this to animals, I'll never know. Good thing you found him in time as he wouldn't have lasted long at that age!
