I've heard this explained before Clueless, but for the life of me I can't remember. I bet Zigs can answer it. :)

Sunny (and windy) all day yesterday 27c and sunny this morning, 22c now but supposedly the last of the 'hot' days, ready for a six mile walk this afternoon.
Might get some much needed showers later in the week.

"Wall to wall" cloud and fairly cool with a temperature of 67f. I can't believe I using the word "cool" for 67f when I remember the awful Summer we had last year and the year before!!:heehee::snork:

The sun is out, the air is completely still and all the birds are having a siesta. The parasol is up on the patio and the tomatoes are starting to wilt,

The clouds dispersed and the sun reappeared about 2PM, I've abandoned the garden again until this evening although it is cooler today. 19C.

We've been promised a 20/30% chance of rain each day for the next week.......we'll see!

Not a good day, no sun a little drizzle of rain and quite cold, a friend has just visited and she says she's going home to light a fire.

Outlook for the coming week nothing special!

I think even if the sun had been shining today it wouldn't have changed how I feel - as today I have been filling out my tax return and that is always 'panic day' for me. Surely when you get to a certain age you shouldn't have to do this - it's not good for the blood pressure!

It's quite tame here at the moment, didn't get to 30c and we went to our river place where there was a lovely breeze. Took a few photos, may put one up.
