It was another hot and sticky day yesterday but I got a load of mowing done. Heavy rain forecast for lunchtime, clearing in the afternoon and coming back again in the evening.

Absolutely glorious atm. Wall to wall sunshine with a few fluffy clouds, certainly the rain have got everything growing like Topsey. I could almost see the grass growing yesterday, I expect the weeds are likewise going to spring into action!

A very nice morning with a fresh feel about it. There's more blue skies than clouds and the temperature is 73f. I'm waiting to see if the forecast rain will reach West Cheshire later this afternoon.:coffee::snork:

We had lunch outside and it's very sunny with a temperature of 82F in the shade. I gave up, to have my tea indoors in the cool.

Just looked at the met office site.
It says it should be 23 here, its 30 ATM.

Noticed on the radar so very nasty looking storms moved north out of France earlier, but only clipped east Kent, its sunny now, but there does appear to be a blob of rain moving across the channel.
I think we might catch a bit of this one in a couple of hours.

Sticky and partially sunny. It's been forecasting rain for this afternoon but that keeps getting put back each time I check...

3.30 p.m. 89F (approx 32C), sunny and very sticky. I've also looked at the radar and it shows rain clouds directly overhead by 4 p.m. and heavy downpours from 5 p.m..

      I don't believe it! :heehee:

Hold on a moment. The sun is disappearing behind some clouds :hate-shocked:. Nope! Sun back again but clouds looming on the horizon.

The island was shrouded in Mannanans cloak for a couple of hours this morning. Since then a mixture of mainly cloud and sun. I'm guessing at the temperature as I'm without a thermometer at mo, so between 16/18C.

Sorry to hear that Zigs *Passes instructions on how to build an Ark*

When I read the weather report early this morning, it stated rain from late morning, with thundery showers. At 2pm, the report had altered to say it would be arriving around 1 ish (yes, I did say I checked at 2!).

Not a sniff, nor a whisper of rain/thunder.

              Still melting :rolleyespink:

The rain is on it's way... It's started spitting, the sky's pretty dark & the water barometer's starting to overflow...

Our thunder started here in the East Midlands at 6.25pm just as I was fetching the washing in and making sure the greenhouse was ok.

Havn't got a radar image to look at so don't know when we will get the rain although it now feels a bit fresher,oh sorry Mr Kandy has started the fan going:snork:

At the moment we have 75.6f outside and 77.2f in old money and the raincloud on my weather station is showing rain falling but as it is 980mb don't know when it will fall.Just looked out of the window and it has just started raining here although the thunder has not got much closer:biggrin:
