We had a strange steady rain from 2.30-4.30am overnight, garden loved it ... very odd for July here, high today 26,4c, currently 22,5c.

3 hours ago, we were in the midst of a storm, but it quickly vanished and it has been quite ever since,
so it's off to bed, hoping for an uneventful night.
    We shall see,
    Jenny

Joolz, the last time we had snow like that was in '94, so if that's anything to go by.......:)

I definitely don't want a storm, they scare the living daylights out of me having had two previous houses struck three times between them. I'd rather have the snow!

Veg plot had a good soak, surprisingly I can't see any overnight slug damage.

            Lovely sunny day now.

It rained all night. My flowers are flattened and a fair bit of borage has keeled over. It's cloudy now with a hint of blue sky and cooler than it has been.

Plenty of rain last night, much needed. Grand fresh day here, sunny with some odd clouds, warm with a slight wafty breeze from the sea. Would love to be out on my bike down by the river but am baking bread to take to a lunch party with friends.

Same here, Mowgley, but the garden needed some water and it's looking fresher this morning. The skies are full of clouds from grey to black with patches of blue here and there and the temperature is 70f:snork:

Utterly delightful day here. Visability is pin sharp and the colours are very strong. A gentle SW breeze and loads of cabbage Whites . The Buddelia is showing its first deep purple plumes so I'm hoping for some "proper" flutterbyes,
            Jenny
