I drove out of my village leaving the sun behind this morning, mist/fog everywhere else. On return a couple of hours later the sun had vanished and misty gloom was all around, 18C.

Foggy morning, dull afternoon and a cold evening - unbelievable after such a scorcher yesterday.

Mist cleared about 11am and has been a lovely day since. maybe a little cooler and the mugginess seems to have gone. Sky still crystal clear and not a breath of wind,

Yesterday was overcast although it was pleasant temperatures, we had the occasional break in the clouds, today appears to have much less cloud and really pleasant temperature, hope it remains nice for tomorrow, my daughter is getting married at Rowton Castle in Shropshire....

Awoke to quite dense fog but it is slowly retreating and I am sure it won't be too long before the sun returns. Still very warm,

This week's weather forecast is turning out to be correct - every day 32ºc max with absolutely no wind and quite humid and even warm nights. Should help with the ripening of the tomatoes (loads of them, very green). Looks set to continue until the weekend when storms look likely.
