I know what you mean Jenny, October '87 was a mild and wet month, just like this one......
....and the forecast for Sunday night/Monday is beginning to look interesting too. Some of the weather presenters on TV and radio are getting decidedly twitchy about it. :th scifD36:

Really strange here...one minute fairly quiet the next a thundering roar of what sounds like a high speed train passing through....very gusty and a very mild 15 degrees:huh:

15C and not even a breeze.

I've just heard the weather forecast for Monday. Two low pressure systems over the U.S. will join and become an ultra low system heading for the UK.

Cornwall has been put on alert and the high winds (possibly up to force 12) could run along the south coast - or head up north - or go through France. They're obviously making sure they don't do a Michael Fish :heehee:

Normal breeze out there right now. Patio's dry but it's overcast. Still warm,

Just listened to another forecaster on the radio. She said that they were still not sure exactly where the storm will hit or how severe it will be but they "...should know within a day or two"!!!!!! :hate-shocked:

Even I should be able to work that out in that time scale. :heehee:

It was raining first thing this morning until around 1100am and then it stopped and the wind picked up. It's stayed dry but the winds have got stronger and I've been listening to the forecast of the approaching storm. The damaging winds should be to the South of West Cheshire so, hopefully, while we might get some strong winds here we just might get away with things.:sofa::hate-shocked::snork:

Don't forget to hang on to your hat Armandii.

Another grey day with yet another cloudburst this afternoon. Currently the air is still, the calm before the storm maybe.

Lovely sunny day, 14deg but a bit of an old breeze going but nice. Off out to have a mid morning cuppa and enjoy the garden.

Gale force winds and part cloudy. Tonight is supposed to be really bad, 70/80mph+ gusts.
Looks like the South will have the worst of the wind and the Midlands the worst of the rain.

Well the sun's out and it's now quite windy. Currently 14C.
