Looking good out in the garden at the moment - temp in the greenhouse has risen from 5.2 to 8.0 on the last 20 minutes and is racing up.

Might even get the grass cut today

Thank goodness some sunshine!! It's melting yesterday's snow fast after last night's frost. Let's hope spring can finally gather some speed!

The inside panes of the greenhouse were frosted over this morning but it has been a really great day in the garden. I see my garden as my 2nd home and it's great to spend some time in it at last. Lots of clearing up done - edges of lawn (moss patch) tidied up, old pots turned out, washed part of the patio and lots lots more done - what a worthwhile day!

Just started to get a bit chilly so thought I would come inside and find out what GC gardening friends have been up to.

Started off chilly in Swindon with some frost.Went out metal detecting wrapped up in thermals & big coat as forecast said NO sun. By 11.30 the sun was beating down and we were melting and had to strip off to sweat shirt.Got home and relaxed in a chair by the pond in the sun, lovely.

Started promising but soon clouded over, wind freshened and it had a bite to it, watered entire garden, came in frozen, wet feet freezing hands :blue thumb: . Hot shower warmed me up.

After a very frosty start, (down to -5·2ºC last night), a second day of glorious sunshine with just a slight chilly breeze. Nobody's complaining about that though, it was just great to have a sunny weekend at last. :yahoo:

Today the Sun disappeared behind thin grey cloud, but that cruel East Wind seems to have disappeared for a while which made the day much better. The Country File weather forecast says that Spring is still waiting for Winter to die away, so it's going to be unsettled and colder with the East Wind returning for at least part of this week. The temperature has been in the mid 40f's again but it has felt a lot cooler because of the Sun being hidden behind the cloud, but the wind hasn't been present so not a bad day for doing outside jobs. The temperature at the moment is 43f.:coffee:

Our first sunless day for a couple of weeks but despite the clouds the temperature still rose to 8C. It's 5C right now at 9.40pm.......will I get the plants into the greenhouse soon? :)

No frost this morning but no sunshine either! I think the sun is having a lie in because he worked so hard at the weekend. :heehee:

A definite Victor Meldrew moment when I opened my bedroom curtains this morning....MORE SNOW and snowing as I type..sigh. Not lying on the road but is in the fields which now have lots of ewes and new born lambs in them. Not exactly the archetypal Spring scene.
