Very windy this morning, partly cloudy. It's forecast rain for the day, turning to snow late evening... 7°C

Our first hard frost this morning minus 1C!. Very starry sky when I Looked at 3.45am this morning. Wall to wall blue nowbut with a biting northerly breeze - not windy here.
Even the butter doesn't want to spread properly on the sandwiches this morning.
Take care - all those of you encountering today's gales,
                Jenny

Extremely frosty (had to scrape the ice of the car at 7 p.m. last night) but the exposed parts of the garden have a lot less frost than the sheltered parts. I suppose that's the effect of the strong wind.

Our second frost last night, had to scrape the car's windscreen. It's a beautiful sunrise this morning - hope our northern friends are OK after the gales.

Just discovered the cause of the bang at 7.00am. We've lost two ridge tiles. It's too darn windy at present to go up on the roof and refix them.
