Seriously windy today here, with the winds peaking locally at a touch over 70mph this afternoon.

It got quite lively at work this afternoon, with twigs and small branches flying about as the wind roared around the trees and buildings. I'll probably have some clearing up to do tomorrow.

I drove over to Wem in Shropshire this morning to visit my sister, take her shopping and also go for a meal. It wasn't until around 1200p.m that the skies got black, the wind really picked up, and we had some rain. On the drive home in the afternoon there were some diversions due to trees being brought down so it took a bit longer than normal plus when passing through Crewe there was a heavy Hailstone shower with quite big pieces of ice. I was glad to get home for a mug of tea:coffee::snork:

Missed all of the bad weather here, just a bit windy, hope everyone is safe and not suffered too much damage.

Wind, rain, sun and hailstones today, 7C. Snow later on high ground so I think it's just fog that's missing....... oh yes, and part of my carport roof.

6C at the moment.....the winds have calmed down now. Hopefully there'll be some dry weather later as the garden needs sorting although thankfully there's no real damage.

              The calm after the storm.
1'c and not a breath of wind outside just been to inspect everything, plants and trees ok but 5 fence panels gone and 2 panels of glass broke.
Might have to speak to the neighbour later about fixing the panels (not spoke since they moved in 4 years ago apart from telling them to turn the music down ).
It's there boundry if I remember right.

We didn't get the snow promised last night and the wind gradually dropped. Back to grey skies today but calm. Just 4C and a little chilly.
