Dry cloudy breezy and a rather pleasant mild 7c.
Have been outside for an hour doing some last minute prep before the storm - the Council don't clean out the gutters (full of soggy packed leaves) and the storm drains (grille also partially clogged) anymore it seems, I'm often out there autumn/winter sorting it out.

    Hope everyone stays safe today.

Strong winds but not the heavy rain that was forecast. Despite it being 'Manic Monday', (which is supposed to be the busiest shopping day of the year) I'm staying at home and sitting on my wallet.

Heavy rain and winds gusting to 70+mph and parts of a roof tile have landed in the garden, from where I don't know, yet!

Well, I drove to Baslow in the Peak District as planned today and to be honest although there was wind and rain with dark gloomy clouds I have had worse journeys.:dunno::snork: The roads were full of large puddles but nothing that looked like a flood. On driving back to West Cheshire there were showers but again nothing drastic that affected driving and the skies seemed to be clearing up on arriving home. Right now it's gone calm again although the forecast is for high winds and rain tonight..........we'll see!!:heehee:
