Your very strong wind blew the heavy rain to northern France - it's lashing here. Wind not as bad as forecast yet though

Wind and rain woke me up many times during the night but I think again we are on the periphery here and not got it as bad as others. Now its very windy but sunny and mild. Got a long drive tomorrow so hoping the weather calms down a bit.

Hi Loli and all. We're still being battered here and the wind is supposed to break around dusk. So far no damage in the garden and my greenhouse door is hanging on, if that goes so will the greenhouse. I haven't checked my bungalow yet but all seems well. :) The temperature is currently 9c.

The violence is starting to leave the storm now thank goodness. Another hour I reckon and I'll be wending my way to Tesco's, if I can get there. There won't be much on the shelves though!

Bright and Sunny but cold with the strong, gusty winds adding to the chill. I went to the Church where my Wife's resting place is to check on the Christmas Wreaths, flowers and Lanterns that were placed there over the Christmas period. Even with the extremely strong winds only one Lantern had been blown over without any damage to it, which surprised me as I was expecting to have to retrieve some of the Wreaths from the hedges and that the Lanterns glass would be smashed. But the Winds are still strong enough to make you stagger as it attempts to blow you over!!:snork::hate-shocked:
