The day started off cool, cloudy and grey. Then as the morning went by the Sun started to shine for a few seconds, then minutes until it was shining fairly regularly. What has spoilt the day has been the wind, it has built up in strength and has gusted enough to knock over heavy pots, rattle the Green House door, and make things almost impossible to to do in the garden. Still, it has been warm with temperatures around 67f.:coffee:

Grey most of the day. Just jumping into a scaulding hot bath from the hot weather from yesterday though.

Yesterday was sunny but very windy and became gale force after midnight. I went out in the garden at 2 a.m. to take the top feeders off the feeding candelabra to stop it being blown over and damaged. I haven't checked for wind damage to the garden yet but one of our wooden benches has been blown over.

The mini GH doors and top were flapping open and shut this morning as the clasp had broken in the wind. I've placed a heavy plantpot in front and put weights on the lid as it is still very, very windy. Blue sky though, 10C. Wish this unfriendly weather would go away,

It was very windy last night and it rained also. This morning there appears to be a bit of debris in the garden - I'm not sure where it's come from and a few things have been blown around or over. There's not too much to tidy up though by the looks of things. It's overcast now and looks like it may rain again.

:hate-shocked::gaah:Oh my god its WINDY, it was worse through the night and at least it is easing down slowly now but still gusting badly.

Had to go out and make some patch up repairs to the greenhouse before the roof ripped off, luckily it was an easy job as it was just stitching coming undone on a seam (bit of a design fault I think :snork:), a bit of wire and its sorted

A small wooden wishing well is in bits and scattered across the patio and my boys trampoline was upside down and stuck in the conifer hedge which was fortunate as it stopped it wiping out everything in its path :)

widespread and severe damage last night thanks to a max gust of 78mph..

fences down, rooves damaged, garden is trashed, and not just ours.

this climate is impossible to garden in..
