Bright and sunny here and still breezy but it has died down a lot, still getting the odd strong gust but much better than last night and first thing this morning......

Quite warm too out of the wind..:)

Blimey, must have slept through it, was a bit lashed up last night.

Light breeze, patchy blue sky, big white clouds and occasional shower, proper April weather.

Very very windy, this morning all of the trees in my garden were swaying well. Hope they are all still standing when I get home from work!

Still very windy with strong gusts. A few daffy stems have been bent over and minor damage to hinges on mini GH. Bright sunlight but hardly any little birds about at all,

Seems like the wind was worse in your neck of the woods. Hope you managed to sort out any damage. It's very disheartening Steve - I just hope the new stuff you planted came through it ok.

had gales all night and day, blew over one of the trees at bottom of garden, think they are poplars and around 60 -80 feet tall, so very strong wind, luckily it blew into next doors garden and not on my greenhouse!
there are around 10 of them left but looking like we may have to have them all taken out for safety, such a shame as i love trees:sad:

The wind roared and howled all last night. I never hear the wind at night time unless it comes from the South West, or the North, which seems to funnel and bounce the wind off the dense line of trees on the opposite side of the Grove. I love the sound of wind anyway and lying warm and snug in bed just heightens it all!! There was no damage done in the morning but bits of old plant debris was lying on the lawn and in the borders. The wind was still blowing throughout the day and it took the warmth out of the Sun. The wind seems to have been the Villain of the Piece throughout this Winter and seems determined to cling on. The temperature is now 50f:coffee:

Wind was fresh here with a slight chill to it, dull first thing but brightened up nicely.

After thirty six hours of high winds it slackened off early this morning, unfortunately our carport roof was a victim with part of it having been torn off.

Today was quite breezy still but the sun made it's way through the clouds, 12C. This evening we've had a couple of typical April showers.
