Wall to wall blue here and no wind. Temperature on the mini GH is only 5C. That's far too cold for plants in the border to feel like getting active isn't it?
The trees are still in bud - well, most of them ie. beeches, oaks, birch ect. None of the soft stemmed salvias have made an appearance and the hardy fuchsias are not up yet. 21st April and it still looks like February for hedges and trees,

If we did that the pheasants and the local cats would walk in! :rolleyespink:

After the very heavy frost yesterday morning it took three hours of sunshine to get rid of it. By lunchtime, in the shade it was still a bit nippy but in the sun it was quite hot and everyone had lunch in the sunshine :blue thumb:

    Things are looking up :dancy:

This morning there is a light frost but we have another dose of brilliant sunshine.

Overcast but still bright this morning, no frost and no wind, so not looking too bad at the moment, but we're forecast a few hours of rain this afternoon which is supposed to clear away just after dark and then its a fairly good week forecast for us and warming up from Tuesday :)

There's a blue sky at the moment but there's rain forecast for later this morning. It was a lovely day yesterday - hope the forecasts for today are wrong! :snork:

Raining on and off since noon, rushed out and planted ,Echinacea, Delphiniums, Lavender, Eryngium, 2 Day lilies,Foxgloves, and a couple I cannot recall, drop of rain will settle them nicely.

The temperature struggled up to 50f earlier today but is now 49f:dunno: The Sun tried to shine through the grey layers of cloud but didn't really make an impression. So it's been a grey, cool day with very light rain throughout the day, and certainly not heavy enough to wet the garden properly. :coffee:

Rain until late morning today but it soon dried up with sun for the rest of the day, there's still a chill in the wind though, 10C.

From Wednesday onwards it looks like the temperature is going to drop by 4 degrees at least for the following week.

Rain from noon, didn`t really stop all day then, and it went cold with it.

Sunny all day yesterday but nippy in the shade. No proper rain for ages so had to water plants.

Hopefully, today will be the last frosty morning. :blue thumb:

What a cold weekend!! After the warm weather we had last week it came as a shock to the system - and I haven't recovered. It's still cold this morning and a max of just 13Âșc is forecast, but hopefully things will get better as the week goes on. However there seems to be something nasty lurking on the horizon for next weekend :eeew:!!
