Sun never made it here today. Cold wind in the shade. Quickly potted up 2 rooted cuttings, popped 'em in the mini GH and came back indoors. Not gardening weather for me,
    Jenny

We were promised rain all day today but after light rain early this morning it dried up, the cloud remained with an hour of sunshine late this afternoon, 13C.

Temperatures are dropping again as we head toward the weekend and promised as low as 3C overnight, great!

The temperature reached 75.6F by 4.30 p.m. and I came indoors as I was getting too warm to carry on gardening.

The warmth is having a good effect on the plants so I just need to keep on watering them a lot. The sprinkler has been going for three days so far.

Well its made just above 23C here today.
And believe it or not, I've only watered pots, the garden is still wet enough for established plants.
I did notice one or two people watering on the allotments:dunno:

Yesterday, when I was working in the front bed the soil was so dry I was creating dust as I walked. All the front garden has now been watered and I'm working on the back garden. We can't put any plants in without giving the beds a good soaking as they're so dry! We've had no rain for ages.

The birds have been loving it and running in and out of the sprinkler. :)
