Brilliant sunshine by pretty cold. We've still not had any rain for weeks but they are forecasting rain later today and for tomorrow.

I've been asking for rain for weeks now and not got any. As we are going to pick up the marquee this morning and erect it it will probably pee down on us! Tomorrow we get all the tables and chairs and need to set up everything outside so I hope the rain stays away whilst we do that as well.

Sun is up and the air is a bit crisp at 6C . A spirited breeze from the west but barometer looks OK right now.
      We'll see,

:gaah:.......I left plants outside last night to harden off in a sheltered position against the fence and we had hail stones through the night. The plants don't look too good this morning - droopy partially brown leaves and curled up leaves. I was about to bring them inside and we've just had hail stones again. I. GIVE. UP.

Well the forecast was half right, we've had some pretty hefty showers with hail and the odd rumble of thunder but lovely spells of sunshine in between, thankfully we'don't have the forecast strong northerly wind, it gets a bit blustery when the showers pass through but there's no wind at all otherwise :)

We had hail storms during the night in the midlands, I work in a massive mail centre and I thought the roof was going to give in.

Just had the worst hail storm here in London - with a bit of thunder - and now the sun is shining. Forecast cold and wet for tomorrow - but drier and brighter for the weekend.

Started off windy & cold. Later on sunny periods (about 5 mins). Later on around 5pm very strong winds and very heavy downpours again for about 5-10 mins.Followed by calm sunny weather only to start wind & rain again.
The plants were struggling with some pots blowing over.We decided to put all pots that are plastic and waiting to be potted up into greenhouse, shed & garage. My wife picked up a large plastic pot of lettuce plants (babies) just planted today and dropped it!! She was upset but I said it was no problem as we salvaged around half and can easily plant some more seeds.
Looks like another wild & windy day Friday in Wiltshire.

We had showers during the night and in the early morning with the skies being dark and grey. Then the weather dried out and we had some Sun but the breeze strengthened and so it wasn't a warm day. The temperature is now 47f.:coffee:
