Although it's been sunny the wind is still blowing, 36 hours now with up to a force 8 overnight tonight, 9C but felt more like 3C today. There's no rain forecast before the end of May at the moment, I don't believe that, T.T. starts on Saturday and we never get through that without a washout at some point. :)

Why oh why did I leave the UK ? ... let me count the ways ... because it's 17c now and was 26c today with a lovely forecast for the weekend. I am pleased I will not be in the UK for the Bank Holiday but I do hope all goes in favour of Shiney for his Open Day so sending warm wishes to all those attending. :spinning:

We've, finally, got some rain :blue thumb:. There hasn't been any in Shineyland for at least six weeks (not sure of the timing) and the ground is rock hard. It's only light rain at the moment with heavier rain forecast for later today.

Fortunately, they have forecast reasonable weather over the weekend.

Thanks for the good wishes, Victoria :wub2:

Wait!!!!.......What??!!.....Could it be???......No it can't be..........Yes I think it is!!!!.........A break in the clouds!!!!!! It looks like the sun is making a (somewhat feeble) effort to poke through the endless blanket of grey that we've had hanging over us for weeks. Still very chilly (somewhere between 4º and 13ºC) but temps due to rocket to 18ºC on Sunday. :wow:

Cold and windy, rain later, 12c max.
17c is the highest temp so far (two weeks ago), is this going to be a repeat of last year??

Yet another sunny day but still with a chilly breeze, 13C. I've had to water the beds today having had very little rain over the last month.

A dire day here. Only upto 7'c with gusts upto 50mph :gaah:
Smashed my pot with the rose in and damaged my brunnera :gaah:
Still very windy now, forecast is for a nice weekend though.
Thank god I've not put the bedding out yet.

We've finally seen the sun at times!! But this annoying north wind is keeping temps down to about 15°C. There's a minimum of 3° forecast for tonight, but nevertheless I've planted out my beans (runners and French), with a protection wall around them which makes the veg patch look like a crime scene!

A gorgeous day, temperature topped 19.4 degrees, currently 18.4 - clear blue skies all day and no wind to speak to of :) Same again tomorrow, a touch warmer even and then same again Monday before rain moves in Monday night, Tuesday and Wednesday

Just 24 hours earlier it could only manage 9.1 degrees on what was a very dreary (and extremely windy) day..:frown:

Fairly sunny, about 16 C max, still not my idea of late May.
The air seems cold, step into the shade and its fairly chilly, so a cold night to come, not good.

After a day of persistent rain on Friday (I only spent 12 hours out in it!) Saturday was a bright and sunny day with a chill wind.

The garden certainly rejoiced in the arrival of the rain as my continual use of the sprinkler, over the last two weeks, didn't do anywhere near as much good as the rain.

Today is bright and sunny and set to be quite warm :blue thumb:
