I have to say that we had a worse snow fall over Christmas when we had about 5 inches of snow on the ground. It got very windy through the night but did no damage. There was a light covering of snow on my car roof this morning, but not on :dunno: :snork: the bonnet or windows, and no snow on the ground. It has tried to snow in flurries throughout out the day but the roads and ground are clear and free so we have no snow on the ground still. I drove around the Beeston, Northwich, Middlewich, Winsford, and Delamere Forest areas and it was the same, no snow on the ground and all the roads completely clear. It seems that, so far, the heavy snow falls has bypassed this area although the wind is still blowing.

I have had a truly horrible day today , had to go to Birmingham and back. Had to brush about 5 inches of snow off my car ,then chisel out the windscreen wipers as they were compacted in ice, then I discovered the hard way that they use boulders to grit the M6 so I possibly looking at a new windscreen if they can't repair the crater in the glass. I haven't taken my dog out because I was too exhausted when I got back, my shoulders and eyes are aching from concentrating so hard. Sorry to moan but this poxy weather is really getting me down now, I have so many projects I want to start :cry3:

Well the snow, heavy at times has persisted all day but has strangely also been melting as quick as it has been falling so we currently have no snow lying on the ground but it is very wet and messy as a result. The wind has dropped too, so hopefully things won't go down hill over night and tomorrow as originally forecast...

Sleety snow , and a raw East wind. But the daffodils really are lasting a long, long time.

You must be getting the outlying results of the Shineyland Effect! :)

Yesterday was bright and dry but a chill wind.

The snow started at 6.50 a.m. this morning and is settling a bit. I won't do the rest of the mowing!

Nothing even vaguely printable to say other than I visited Texas a few weeks ago, didn't go a bomb on it but would be quite happy to be back there atm!

Snowing heavy here in Lincolnshire - shopping done so it's a day inside in the warm. So annoying when we are all aching to get outside and see to the gardens. I think spring is off the calendar for this year!
