I think the wind has been the chief factor, and villain, over the last few days and today was no exception. It's supposed to be an East wind coming from Siberia and if so hasn't lost a minus degree on the way..........bitterly cold. The sky actually lightened this afternoon and a weak Sun shone for about 15 minutes and then disappeared. Not a day for being outside too long, wrapped up or not.:coffee:

The sun has shone all day today, but along with that comes the biting Siberian wind Armandii has mentioned. 3C. Nothing much has changed here, even though we have a slight thaw.

I have put a new picture up on my SOS thread if anyone wishes to take a look. :)

Yesterday was cold but with no wind or snow it didn't feel too bad. It's quite bright out there at the moment but there's a bit of a breeze.

A paler shade of grey today, but the wind is still very uncharitable. Putting out bird food is as near to going outside as I intend to go whilst it's like this. 1.5C on the thermometer,

Dry, cold and with a bit of sporadic sunshine throughout the day. The temperature stayed in the low 30f's but I sat out in the Arbor which faces West, protected from the cruel East Wind, for an hour and the Sun was shining onto it so that I could feel the very weak warmth of it:coffee: :snork:. If the sun comes out tomorrow I might wrap up warm and drive to a Nature Reserve in Shropshire to see how the birds are coping with this bitterly cold weather.;)

If I really said what I wanted to say about the weather I'd probably be banned, so I'll leave it to the imagination :snork:

Yet another beautiful sunny day today and sun glasses were donned against the harsh light with the snow, 4C. Snow showers promised for tomorrow and Wednesday but later in the week promises a rise of temperature......could that be spring then?

You're always welcome to sit in the Arbor, Sheal, you never have to ask about that!!. If you're wrapped up warm, I'll supply the hot beverage, and you'll have to make room for Jenny[the cat] too. I'm just hoping that where I'm going tomorrow isn't going to be blocked with snow down some of the narrow roads. We've no snow here whatsoever but I've no idea what the depths of Shropshire are like!!:dunno: :snork:
