There's 600+ miles between you and I @simone_in_wiltshire. That might be how it is in England now but not here, sorry. I was born and reared in south-east England and I can tell you the climate here is rather different to the southern end of Britain.

I won't hold my breath. :) We get snow here almost every April.

Light rain on and off yesterday and overnight.

Started with a couple of short snow flurries early this morning, but the cloud soon cleared and the sun was with us until sunset. Overnight temp. was 2C/36F and it struggled to 5C/41F today.

According to my local weather station readout, with the wind chill it feels like minus 8 outside, I shall not be going out to confirm that however.

I'm always speaking about the area where I live which is in the middle of the south that gets its weather from the SW and not from the 15 miles far West Berkshire. :)
Primula flower all year round in my garden apart from 2 months in July/August. However, I saw the gladioli in 2020, and that was impressive. Since then, I keep a close eye on them in August.
I'm no expert but learning year by year.

It had rained yesterday evening and it looks like we get more rain over the day. It's actually warm with 8c currently and 7c to expect. I wouldn't be surprised if the cold gets stuck where the Thames valley meets the Downs.

More pink skies this morning and a sharper frost. O'night low of minus 5 degrees [minus 4 just now at approx. 7.55 am] and the predicted high is around 2 or 3 degrees at best. There should be sun for a while though, so it'll be very pleasant.

Yesterday was ok as it was largely dry after the frost/ice lifted, with only the odd, very light , shower. The high was 6 degrees, dropping to around 2 degrees by 4 pm.

April isn't normally much of a spring month here either @Sheal, which is why I don't start seed much earlier than that! The coldest weather is generally after the New Year, so it's pointless doing anything too early. An old saying is 'when the days get longer, the cold gets stronger' and that's pretty much the case.

Very wet with a hint of bright sky but don't think it'll develop. Forecast is for 6-7c with a possibility of snow on high ground tonight.

Morning one and all. Been absent due to internal internet problems; Had a massive two-hour storm last Friday and between the two days of storms received a welcome 77mm of the wet stuff. It was a nondescript weekend and cold but today we will be back to normal,

Currently sun breaking through dust haze cloud from the The Sahara, 16c going to 21/22c.
