Sheesh! I step outside for, literally, 10 seconds (green bin day) ... and, despite coat and boots, I'm drenched! :gaah: Set to be a cold night, so the annual dilemma of which tender plants to try to save and nurse through till March begins. :dunno:

We got about 2"of snow overnight, but it had melted off the hard surfaces by the time I looked out this morning. The trees and lawns are still covered but I don't think it'll last. The outdoor temperature sensor is reading 2.1C now (9:30am).

Snowing since 8 here. Didn’t stay of course and thanks goodness but that means no snow after November…
                And it’s cold. Just 1c.

A covering of snow here in Gloucester, maybe 1cm but I suspect it will clear quite quickly. Probably more over the hills of the Cotswolds surrounding us, but we are on low ground and generally miss the worst of the snow.

Yes we have the white stuff as well. It started off with big flakes and now it's small. It's melting but it's still snowing so don't know what will happen overnight. Temp 2c feels like -2 with a gentle breeze from the north north east.

Well its been on and off rain all day, and 5c.
The rain appears to be stopping in the next hour or so and then I guess it will turn frosty.

I can remember when we used to have dry and frosty or wet and mild, now days we get a lot of really wet days immediately followed by frosty nights, really bad for any plants that are borderline hardy and really difficult to protect tender stuff from the frost.

:yikes: It all looks a bit grim over there! It's turned wet and windy here, but still 15C. OH is off to UK tomorrow for a few days. I'll make sure he packs some woollies :)

We had snow mid morning which wasn’t forecast! It wasn’t much, but a sugar-coating of white everywhere and that will stay on the roofs and mountain slopes as it will be frosty tonight.

I’m guessing you didn’t do much at the walled garden today @Valleysgirl!

It is up to 50f 9c and gusty and cloudy.

The guessers say it's going to pee on us for the rest of the week but not get cold until next week. :)
