Good morning all ,frost at the moment but a mostly sunny day,with a high of 4c expected.

 

Sunny and cold today. I still can’t believe Storm Bert is on it’s way - sounds horrible.

 

Sun shining, 5°C at the moment and a cold breeze.
Tomorrow we have Storm Bert, but it will be 10 to 15°C, heavy rain and 50 mph winds from the South.

 

Zero degrees just now and the sun is trying to peep through the clouds, gentle breeze and no snow, the storm is forecast to reach us tomorrow.

 

Sunny and frosty again this morning, but I think it's not quite as cold as yesterday morning.

 

It is 40f 4c and although everything was quite wet when I dragged the recycle and rubbish to the kerb, it is not raining. The guessers are telling me it will be cloudy all day which is not a hardship for me because I have plenty of indoor chores to get done

 

Just had a walk round the village, the roads and foot paths are sheet ice, very dangerous, the council have not been gritting. Parts of Stonehaven town has been closed by the police because of so many traffic accidents due to sheet ice, bankrupt councils cannot do their jobs, in Scotland after a decade of government ordered council tax freezes, they cannot afford to buy road salt it seems, dreadful state of affairs.

 

Here in Ramsgate we used to have Sand Bins for people to use in dangerous areas,
these have since disappeared. A small cost involved being that the area is surrounded
by sandy beaches.

 

The sand bins around here were always raided by people stealing it, I often used to see people filling sacks and buckets from the bins at the first sign of cold weather.

Might be the more likely reason they have stopped filling them @john558 .

 

At 6am it was a bit icy on the road and paths, had to be careful when walking the boys especially River being a puppy thought that it was good fun.
Now it's partly cloudy with light winds from the west temp 3c feels like 0c.

 

Its been mostly sunny after a bit of a cloudy start, temperature up to 7c but more wind today.
Its now clear and looking frosty tonight.
