          -2C/28F at 8am. A frost this morning and a thin coating of ice on the bird bath. Sunny and calm all day so another afternoon spent leaf raking. Top temperature was 4C/39F.

            Once again the day turned out much better than forecast at 5am this morning! Though it was a cold day (possibly the coldest so far of this autumn), we had a lot of (cold) sunshine. Temps didn't get above 8C max & tonight they are forecast to fall to about 4C min.

                          5C now and the frost was soon melted by the sun on east side of our garden . Still a covering over the rest which doesn't get any sun until around midday at this time of year. I forecast a nippy morning out in our garden so hot chocolate at the ready!!:coffee:
