What's your weather Like November

I've got an outside one and it never freezes above minus 5c.

 

A couple of hours after posting above the skies also cleared here & we had quite a bit of sunshine. we didn't have as much as yesterday but at least it wasn't the cloud cover forecast at 6am this morning!

The wind has been cold all day but again not as strong as yesterday. With a northern component the wind is much colder than past days this month. The temps at present, 5.45pm, are very low, only 4C & going down to 2c at 2am. Even our max for tomorrow will be the lowest we have had so far this autumn with only 6C in the middle of the day! As the wind will continue from the NNW we will be better off indoors & enjoying what little sun is forecast from inside!

 

Fingers crossed. The basin pipes froze last year, but then there were a few days of quite cold. You watch out for your pipework in that place!

 

Last year we had sub zero for over a week here, it never got above minus 2 on a couple of days, yes it would have frozen then but I have a small oil lamp for such occasions, but very rarely used.

 

Great Scott!! The mind boggles! But I hope that's enough to keep your erm, waterworks warm, though, he said to him, cryptically.

We are now only getting days in the low to mid 30f. Nights are all now below freezing.

Clouds made a poor effort of trying to dump snow today. Lots of room between flakes and they didn't survive landing as the ground isn't frozen yet.

I disconnected and drained my hoses a few weeks ago. Then turned the water off at the shut offs in the cellar and after that opened the outdoor faucets to make sure no water was available to freeze.

@Drahcir our cellars must be insulated down to the frostline which is stipulated, for really extreme years, at being a minimum of 36" below grade.
