What's your Weather Like October 2024

Apparently (BBC weather) I have a dry day 12°C, but 200 mph winds all day.

They mentioned that on the TV this morning, telling people not to worry

Michael Fish was the last one to say, don't worry.

 

A frosty start here with an o'night low of 0 degrees. [just getting to 1 degree now at approx. 7.55 am] and a predicted high of about 9 or 10 as it's to be quite sunny all day, with a bit of cloud now and again.
Should have gone to Specsavers - it's still just 0 degrees at 8.10am.

Yesterday was just another murky sort of day, with a good breeze, but some smirry rain in the afternoon. The high was 12 degrees.

 

Bit windy here today apparently, 4700mph winds.

It says possible light rain today and around 10/11c . Is that yes or no I wonder ? still plenty of Autumnal jobs to get on with .

Very wet and soggy.

 

My wind speed is gonna by 16781! That's quite breezy!

 

Sun breaking up cloud, calm, 16c going to 23c. We are forecast heavy rain starting after midnight and continuing through tomorrow. Let's see.

 

The BBC's weather has a banner at the top saying they are experiencing issues etc.....

So my own observations are : It's a calm day with sunny intervals and the thermo in the GH says 11c. Quite nice.

 

@cactus_girl, that banner was not there half an hour ago.

 

The comments on Twitter/X have been funny. "I was wondering if I should put the bins out ...". "I was surprised there was no yellow weather warning".
