What's your Weather Like October 2024

Sunshine from 12 onwards. Did the washing and dried outside in the next 4 hours. In between cleaned the flat and windows
Nice breeze and 15c.
Have now 1 week off. Tomorrow will be the only day with sunshine, rest of the week rain expected.

 

Been out this afternoon, but the morning had light rain, afternoon sunny intervals and light winds, now it's light rain and a moderate breeze from the west north west temp 9c feels like 6c.

 

A clear sky tonight with a lovely half moon. Just 4c so a bit chilly, but nothing to worry about.

It will be dry all tomorrow and at 10c just about bearable.

It's the start of the "sweep the leaves up season" and this depends on the way the winds are blowing. If they are Westerlies then the golf course oaks will dump their leaves in our garden. If it's really windy they will all pile up nicely in one corner and that's a great help.

 

Sunny until mid afternoon. I'd just finished working in the garden when the heavens opened with a heavy shower. Windy this evening with showers and top temperature of 6C/43F today.

Dry and light cloud, 5.5c.

 

A slightly frosty start, but hazy cloud and a pink sky. O'night low was 1 degree [still 1 just now at approx. 7.35 am] with a predicted high of around 8 degrees. It's to be reasonably dry and bright most of the day, with rain coming in later on in the evening.

Yesterday was a filthy day with rain, wind and hailstones. Very few dry spells to speak of. It eventually cleared up late afternoon/early evening. The high was 9 degrees, and the wind will have knocked that back a fair bit.

 

4c was a clear sky but clouded over

 

Had one humongous clap of thunder yesterday late afternoon followed by a heavy but brief downpour of 3mm. then a calm evening and night. Currently brightly overcast, 17c and very breezy going to 23/24c May have a shower later.

 

Wind speed here is 4mph that’s good I haven’t swept up all the fallen leaves from the last few days yet! Out and about yesterday visiting poorly family members noticed raining leaves from the trees , especially out Abergavenny way. Cloudy for the day can feel the chill now a bit and a slight frost on the grass out the back . Autumny .

Forecast is a dry today but only reaching about 10 degrees. Fleeces are on!

 

We still only have a sweaty 5 degrees, but the suns out a gentle breeze and blue skies at the moment.
