What's your Weather Like October 2024

Everything is saturated from so much rain. Our moles hate the wet so they are going around under the lawn making it corrugated - I have to go and squash them back down. If they start to do some hills then some treatment will be needed. They really do ruin the lawn.

Dry all day and sunny intervals. No rain!

When I opened the curtains at 6 am, there was the most beautiful full moon. The sort you see in children's story books, with a lighter area of sky behind it and some wispy bits of white cloud across it. By the time I got my ipad to take a photo, and then realised I needed to turn the inside lights off, it had managed to slip behind a darker cloud mass, so this is all I captured.

 

Yesterday we went on our last coach trip of the year and it rained and it rained and it .....

 

14 degrees, blue sky and breezy, seemingly we had very strong winds overnight, I slept through the lot and never heard a thing.

 

Sunny, mild and DRY!!

 

It is 30f and I didn't believe my thermometer so switched on the local station to confirm it

 

We only got to 21c but sunny all day.. 18c now. put the heat on an hour ago because 60cm2 foot walls with tiled floors throughout are cold (albeit lovely in the high heat days.)

It’s been a decent day.

I can just see the moon in the east but it’s due to become misty so I hope I can still see it when it comes more south where my windows face.

 

As been a nice day sun and a high of 18c very mild ,the moon is very bright.

We have just got in from a night out in Birmingham, where the weather was quite mild and there was a lovely moon.

When we got home I noticed the temp here was quite chilly and our windows had misted up. They just shows how cities are much warmer.

It will turn misty later in the night and early in the morning, but I don't mind as I will have a lie-in.

Tomorrow will be sunny intervals when the mist has cleared.

 

Sunshine all day yesterday. Got another chance to hang the washing out.
It feels wet outside, 10c currently, will go up to 15c later on, eventually with some sunshine, but starting first with a Fog warning.
