What's your weather Like October

Is 32C lower than normal for this time of year Vicky....gosh!

 

Dry at the moment but very overcast and blustery, 9c

 

Sorry, Upsy, I did correct it! That is the first thing I type when I open my eyes. Also, I now type with one finger on a laptop and prefer a keyboard with all digits working.

 

Still in the storm here, red warning now extended to late Saturday, the rain has eased a bit, but the wind is still around 60-70mph, not going out in this but some people are asking if the roads are clear, nut jobs after a Darwin award I think, a tree fell and killed a driver not far from here.

 

Blowing a hoolie and lashing down here...

Heard a loud crack and saw a large chunk of my prunus cerasifera on the lawn and that's where it's staying till this lot dies down,the rest of the tree is looking unstable...

 

Its sunny here now and no wind what so ever, cant believe its wild weather just a few mile away.

Heavy rain all day until 2pm. There's a flood warning for us and there's been a lot of it. Up the road the water was pouring off the fields onto the road.
Now it's light rain and light winds from the south south west temp 13c feels like 14c

 

All our weather warnings have been lifted now and we've had a lovely day , mild with a fair amount of sunshine. We do have flooding in parts off our lane as the farmland on one side is on a slope so of course we get a lot of run off . We also drove through some flooded areas on the bus this morning. But for now ..all is good.

Though I couldn't hear the rain during the moments I woke up during the night it seems it was raining but wasn't hitting the bedroom window.

Even though it has rained constantly all day, except for perhaps an hour from 1-2pm when we had some heavier rain, it's been relatively light, not at all what we were expecting! Added to that the wind was quite gentle for most of the day .But it's been a fairly warm day with temps around 15C.

I couldn't do anything outside on the balcony today due to the continuos rain we had all night & all day today from Storm Babet up until about 5pm.

Only cloud is forecast for tomorrow according to the Met Office app even though there is a yellow alert for rain & wind tomorrow. The night temps will be a little down tonight compared with the last few nights with a min of 11C expected. But Saturday night is expected to be a lot lower at only 8C.
