Had a few large drops of rain, then a brief heavy shower for about 5 minutes, then a bit of drizzle, nothing after about 1/2 an hour. It is now very muggy indeed.

We had a bit of rain but all that it's done is make it more muggy.
Now it's cloudy with light winds from the south temp 23c feels like 29c

Shame we can't post our own videos on here as I took a 4 minutes video of the storm we had this afternoon. There were only 1 or 2 flashes of lightening & thunder claps but that was more than made up for with the "white out" we had for a couple of minutes!

Around 2.45pm it began to get darker & darker to the point where I was about to put the light on as I couldn't see my keyboard, it was that dark! My wife commented that it seemed to be getting darker & within a couple of minutes we heard the wind rising & when I looked outside I saw it was so dark that it must surely rain in a few minutes. I took a brief video of the plants on the balcony railings & the dark, threatening clouds in the sky.

I came back in & sat down at the computer when all of sudden the wind became almost hurricane force & immediately heavy drops of rain began to fall & we heard a low rumble of thunder. Fortunately I had closed the balcony door again because I went into the kitchen for a moment & noticed heavier rain on the kitchen windows so I shut the window that was open. Just as well as while I was taking a video of the heavy rain & the hail that was falling on the balcony, as well as the wind trying to dislodge my plants from the railings, which it almost did, the force of the rain against the kitchen windows forced water through the ventilation grills at the top of the windows! I had to mop the floor & dry the cupboard tops!

I have a YouTube channel but VERY RARELY ever use it so I'm not sure if I can upload the video & later put a link on here to it! If I succeed I'll add a link in here.

I had an invite to Brands Hatch today, so been up there most of the day, just got home.
The sensor and Max/Min thermometer both say its been up to 33c, it certainly felt like it.

Some high level clouds rolled in for around half an hour late afternoon but no rain.

Is that done by just uploading a file, or is there a particlar mechanism? Maybe one of this they wold "admin people" what is online now will give a pointer if there's "a procedure".

To be honest, I can't remember. I am a simpleton when it comes to this. I remember taking a video of my cats and just uploaded it from my file, where I downloaded video from camera onto computer then up to here. :rolleyespink:

Well, it seems I can't just upload an MP4. Just tested.

I think its too big to upload, you could try uploading to flickr and then linking it to here, but never tried it myself.

Most forums cannot handle large file sizes of videos, indeed some wildlife pictures I have taken in "raw" are too big, if you post on a third party site, you can then copy and paste the link here, I use both flickr for shorter films and youtube for the longer ones.

To burnie, pete: I've used "imgbb" before now, which is quite good, and needs no membership/payment (although the landing page has other "pay" options).

                            I couldn't start a sentence without a capital letter... :)

                                Good morning all :)

According to the Met Office app the min temps still haven't dropped as we have 19C at 6am! I went out onto the balcony for a moment or two just before 6am & the light wind felt rather cool. During the night I had to close our bedroom door as it was rather chilly with the breeze! Quite a difference from the last few nights!

Daytime temps are forecast to fall as low as 25C today! :yikes:

That's almost cold after several days of temps at 30C!
