Was windy over night with some rain, now a gentle breeze over cast 10 degrees and more rain forecast, that front lawn still not been cut, good job it's mostly moss and looks alright................if you sort of squint a bit.................................

 

15c cloudy + windy had a very heavy shower at 5.30am

 

Nice day here with 25c ...

 

Its windy, blowing all the pots over that have not moved all summer, hardly.
Just about dry but overcast and 18c.
Roll on summer.

 

It's been a pretty gusty old day out there today but thankfully hardly any rain. The wind has died down considerably now......we've just arrived back home....grrrrrr!!!

 

Flippin' freezing...
haven't been warm all day..
and it's hasn't stopped raining or blowing either...

BRRRRR...going down to 7 C on Friday night...!!!

 

We got to 27.6c, 26c now with blue sunny skies soon to go down.

 

It has turned out quite rough here, very windy and heavy rain. I think it's going to last all night and tomorrow.

 

All day it's been showers and gusty winds.
Now it's light cloud and a fresh breeze from the south west temp 16c feels like 17c

A very cloudy and windy start to the last day of summer 2023! According to the Met Office weather app we can expect rain practically the entire day from 11am till at least 10pm! There's an 80-90% probability of this happening! It's quite rare for us to have rain for the majority of the day here! We are not used to such long periods of rain!

Cambridgeshire is possibly the driest area of the UK.

During the heatwave in 2019 the highest temperature was recorded at Cambridge Botanical gardens setting a new (at that time) record for the UK.

My wife and I were travelling back home by train & we were very hot. There was no AC & staff brought round bottles of water! The train was a very old model & we were all in cramped seating. Due to safety concerns the train was also running slower than normal. A journey never to forget!
