What's your Weather Like September 2023

It's stopped raining with light cloud and a gentle breeze from the south south west temp 14c feels like 14c.

 

The rain arrived with a vengeance about 30 minutes ago.
Almost dark already .
And a week ago it was hot. Weather seems to yo yo more than it used to...

Still torrential rain , no let up all day and guess what....they stuck a weather warning on us at 4pm until 3am for...this might come as a shock to you all, are you ready........HEAVY RAIN!!!!!

It's hardly stopped raining since about 1pm this afternoon! Around 7pm till gone 8.30pm we had heavy, almost continuos rain! Very unusual to have heavy rain last so long! Even now it's still raining!

The rain is forecast to ease off by 11pm but only stop around midnight. My poor plants will drown in so much water! I can't go out to empty the saucers under the pots either as I myself will end up almost as wet as they are! :D I stuck my head out for a minute & I saw the 5 hanging baskets on the border of the balcony, above the railings, were streaming with water!

Tomorrow we are forecast a totally different day to today with colder temps but some sunshine though the clouds will also persist during the day but at least no more rain is forecast before nest Friday at the earliest.

From Sunday night another ex-hurricane will take ex-hurricane Lee's place!

What a contrast between 2 days! Yesterday was a wild day with more rain and wind than we have seen in a very long time! Yet today it will be sunny with clear skies during the morning and almost calm winds - no more rain expected for a few days!

I will need to empty the saucers underneath the pots on the balcony railings as the poor plants will be drowning in so much water!

We are forecast a cloudy afternoon and evening but the wind will continue quite low! Temps will reach the high teens. Min is expected to be around 9C, so quite a cool night is expected. At present, at 6am, we have 12C.

Max about 15°C today sunny intervals and showers fading away later in the day.
We have now had more rain than in all of last year.

 

It appears to be trying to brighten up.

The ground is damp but not wet so the rain must have stopped a few hours ago.
We had 10mm late yesterday and overnight.
