What's your Weather Like September 2023

Nipped out in the car, we have a breeze some rain and 14 degrees right now, could be worse.

 

Sunny intervals with a chance of showers and a moderate breeze from the south west temp 18c feels like 19c

 

Doesn't seem to have turned out as sunny as was forecast, but a half decent afternoon.

 

High of 28c with a light breeze, 26.5c now.

 

No sign of Storm Agnes down here in the SE corner...

We had quite a nice day here with just a heavy shower that lasted less than 10 mins about 11.30am! As these things turn out I was about to sweep the balcony as there are still lots of leaves & petals from the storm still on the balcony. I did brush it a little a few days ago but it needs another good sweeping! As soon as the rain stopped I went out & watered the tomatoes with fertilizer, for the last time I think this year, but used a bottle of it to water the Carnation seedlings as well. They look rather rough after the Tortrix moth got through with them! I've never had these on my Carnations before & I've grown them for many years as well.The last 2 or 3 years I haven't had any but as they are one of my wife's favourite flowers I sowed (too many) seeds for her. I hope they will survive the winter & flower next year.

Good morning everyone

It's a cloudy and cooler beginning to the day here this morning. At 6am we have 12c but the forecast is for 20-21C max this afternoon. Winds are expected to increase as the day marches on with the strongest at the end of the day, around 11pm. So, though we are not expecting rain, Storm Agnes will make its presence felt all the way down here in Cambridgeshire! Cloud driven in by the wind will blanket the skies all day today. It's not expected to rain here today.

 

Not a bad day, but still we have been given the grey raindrop image in our forecast ...just to depress us....!! I think we may have drop or two this evening so why they couldn't have given us a glimpse of blue sky is beyond me, I can see it from our window. We could be given the 'doom and gloom' image later.
