We had more rain than I thought overnight, the gauge says 5mm. Apparently there was thunder and lightning which I slept through.

It was overcast this morning, but warm, so I went to put the washing out. I didn't even get as far as the rotary washing line, when it started to rain.
So, it got put up in the conservatory - and the sun came out!! It's been warm and dry ever since, but what are the chances of rain if I put it out, and leave the house?!!

Just seeing a report by the MetOffice with a yellow warning for heavy rain on Wednesday and Thursday.
Do you remember when I said I saw a 20mm to 50mm announcement on wetteronline.de that disappeared again? It’s back again.
Oh dear, and I have to drive OH to Heathrow on Friday. Good news is the Met Office has no rain on the radar for Friday.
          But windy.com says.

We have those weather warnings for Wednesday and Thursday all of a sudden too. But looking at the weather tabs it shows just a bit of normal rain. No need for a warning?

I sometimes put the washing in the GH. I have a pull up washing line - a concertina thingy. Trouble is when it's really hot the roof vent is open and in comes the rain!

Some blue patches now. Only 18c in the GH.

High was 27.5c, now 26c but a sharp gusty wind. No complaints.

It's turned sunny now, and warmer, 19C.
No weather warnings for us, but it's now looking like it might possibly be faintly damp on Thursday. Or possibly not.

                        MetOffice:
The UK has had its coolest summer since 2015, according to provisional Met Office statistics.
Mean temperatures have been 0.22°C below the long-term meteorological average for the UK, with Scotland and Northern Ireland experiencing generally cooler temperatures.

Not just locally. I read last month that the overall worldwide temperature was 0.23c cooler.

Have come in as we are cold outside. T'other Half said "We are turning Portuguese" ... but that happened years ago. We are 22c (real feel 19c) now and that nasty wind is still with us. Up NW has a warning for it.
