Raining but very warm for December. High of 13C and a low of 10C tonight.

Too wet for gardening, or even for golf!

Heavy rain so walk along the beach was a slightly wet experience.....but still fun
Still plenty of colour in the garden from mahonia, winter jasmine, Edgeworthias in bud, camellias too, helleborus niger, etc., as well as gazanias and the like to lift the dark days.

This was a "one hit wonder" for the Cascades, in 1962. They've made a living playing it at live shows in the US ever since. It's such a nice tune.

It was still -5C/23F at 11am this morning but the day warmed up slightly. Another crisp, frosty and sunny day but cold. -3C/27F.

Ice from the bird bath. I refilled the bath and it was frozen solid again half an hour later.

 

A blackbird alerted me to the fact it was frosty Tuesday morning. I duly attended to the bird bath for him
Meanwhile my beloved defrosted my car , what can I say? ...... he loves me
Tonight is much milder. We do have a wind warning for Friday though
The last severe winds blew many tiles off this old house
I had Tupperware everywhere collecting water
Mild tonight 4/5 degrees
