What's your weather like

Well it was a bit of a mixed bag of weather today but did finally manage some nice sunny spells this afternoon.

Still brilliant temps for December, so won't grumble too loudly...yet!! Will next year when we are inundated with bugs that weren't killed off!

 

Come on - own up - who sent their horrible weather up here?

This morning started very grey and went down hill from there with strong winds and rain. I'd like the frost and sunshine back please. 5C/41F

I can see the sun!!!!!! Not a bad day today, hopefully will get a good session out in the garden. We are set for ' light rain ' in the afternoon but I can cope with that, it's just all this torrential stuff I don't like!

A few sunny spells this morning then rain in addition to the constant 60+mph winds.

Better today than yesterday. Sunny and breezy this morning but the wind dropped and the rain came early afternoon. 6C/43F

 

We've had rain for most of the week. Didn't fancy playing golf on Wednesday in the rain.

Rained again all day Thurday.

However it was dry on Friday, so we played.
Pleased at the fact that there was no standing water on the course. this is due to the tremendous amount of work our greens staff have done on improving the drainage on greens, tees and fairways over the last three years.

The course has thousands of trees, so milions of fallen leaves. They use big six feet tall blowers on the back of two tractors. There's an art to blowing the leaves off the fairways together, like a dance moving effortessly backwards and forwards and "coralling" them ready to be scooped up by the bucket attachment on the back of a third tractor, dumped ito a tipper trailer to be taken off to some waste ground to be burned.

Rained again today. Expect it to be clear tomorrow morning so I'll be collecting more leaves in our garden. I do blow some to the backs of the borders and allow them to rot down. But rhodo leaves won't.
