Wev'e had a horrible wet summer this year, I've lost all interest in the garden, seems pointless. My hanging baskets and tubs are a washout. Just fed up of dodging the raindrops all the time.:( 02

Morning Woo,o2 and all, wouldn't you believe it wall to wall cloud and rain on the morning that's supposed to be the best for observing the meteors, was out last night following a gap in the clouds across the sky and managed to spot 2 and one satellite, if we get any clear nights in the next few days you may still see one or two,o2 don't give up on your garden there's always something crops up to surprise you even in the worse weather, have a good day everyone.:thumb:

Morning all.Wall to wall rain this morning and it is so dark.Looks like summer is over now:rolleyes:

Found plenty of slugs and snails in the garden again yesterday so they are having a field day.My Hosta is starting to look rough and I found a flipping snail in the pot.He soon got lobbed into to the road:D

O2,we have had some sun this year and I have the sun tan to prove it.Can't remember which part of the country you are from.I would rather live here than in those countries wher it goes up to 40c each year. They have to spend a lot of time shut indoors because heat is unbearable:eek: Not for me Thank you:D

Showers here with the sun poking through every now and then. I managed to plant some cabbages seedlings last night and didn't bother to water them hoping for rain (sorry!).

O2: Lets hope it brightens up soon, I know how depressing it is, I didn't bother checking the greenhouse first thing and I'm usually straight out there, but when the sun suddenly shone for a minute it cheered me up. Summer will come soon :)

Pal: fingers crossed is not going to be that bad.

Yesterday was another bright and sunny day but today has gone a bit funny!!!

    Good morning.
    What a night.
    It poured down.
Still raining, I don't think there will be much gardening going on in the midlands today.
I was getting on so well yesterday as well.:(

    Morning all --

It is raining!! in fact it is tissing down stair rods and has been doing so
all night. It is still very overcast and doesn't look like it is going to stop
this side of next week

Hope it's not raining this hard in your neck of the woods
Pal - or anybody else who lives in flood risk areas.

Where was the rain when we wanted some earlier in the year for the plants?

Heard on TV news that the summer is over for this year - so that's it folks!!
and the long range forecast says the next four or five years will be the same :mad:

And just finishing this -- I hear rumbles of thunder:mad::mad::mad:

    Morning all.
Same old, same old here in York as elsewhere. Rain and more rain.
Managed to pluck a few toms before it started.
Just had a new washing machine delivered.
Cold suply did not turn off fully. Water splashing over the floor as the lad disconnected the cold at the machine. Nicely mixed with mud they bought in on their footwear.
    Happy days everyone.
    Robert
