After a clean up I have to report washing machine passed its first test.
Extremely quite and spins at 1400 RPM!
I really hope that tub never comes adrift while I,m anywere near it!
Would you believe it has stopped raining!

After me just commenting that it has stopped raining, I can now hear thunder...
Hush my month... I shall never learn.

Aah Capney, you must forgive my assumption that you were born and bred in Yorkshire. All jokes and jibes taken back.

It is chucking it down again, and will be tomorrow I am told. This can`t be the end of the summer surely. Maybe just a few good Autumn days then? Please

    to get this year

And they also said long range forecast - the next 4 or 5 years the summers
will be the same as this

Good job they are not always right isn't it?

Sun is shining here Capney :D :D

I can remember when i was a lad.
    The hop picking holidays.
    Two weeks of green fingers.
    smelly kit.
Bushels and stewed tea from the family sized thermos.
    Happy day...? no way.

I can remember when I was a teenager we went blackcurrant picking.
Purple fingers and purple teeth where we had ate so many and at the end of the day
we were rather sick of them(something you wouldn't have done with hops?)
As jam was rationed and we had been working on the land for the day they gave us
2 ozs of cheese each and a jar of jam - would you believe - it was blackcurrant jam!
    Still don't like:rolleyes:

    Can you belive this!
The Yorkshire TV weatherman has just stated...
" All this rain, could be natures way to protect us from the sun!"
Anybody got a long pointy stick??
