Some photo's of the floods taken Sunday morning in Cockermouth Cumbria

The footbridge from town to the river walk.Benches mark this sides bank are are usually around 12 foot up from the water level.

The river walk end of the footbridge, normally you can walk underneath this.

Part of the river walk area..in spring this is packed with Daffodills

One of the houses on the town side, the ballon reads "Happy Birthday"..I dont think so!

A collection of town houses further downstream from the footbridge, those steps now go into the river rather than a garden. And the tree in the foreground should mark the edge of this bank.

    Steve...:)

Worked in Cardiff this morning, where it was warm and sunny, went next door, to Newport in the afternoon. And they`d obviously had a lot of rain plus it was overcast and miserable. Came home to Cwmbran and it was chilly but sunny.:cnfs::thmb:

    Morning all.

Dark and dry but we have been touched by a fine dusting of frost or at least the car window screens have but on the bright side the roads around our village have all be gritted and so early in the season too the local council must have won the lottery or should I say not lost their money banking aboard!:D

Steve all that water dare I say so beautiful too yet it causes so much despair when people's homes and gardens are flooded, it's a very sad state of affairs that the floods have become the norm this last year or so.:( Hel.xxx.

Last night I would have swore it was going to be a frosty night, very cold and clear skies etc. But some where in between 1am and 7am it clouded over then rained. Thank goodness.:D 02

Steve, I hope the waters go down quickly.

I'm on here late today bwecause I have been experimenting with my new camera and am still struggling to come to grips with it.

It is frosty and sunny today.

This was taken earlier this morning. I hope the file size is OK.
