Raining persistatly hear only good thing about that is I wont have to water garden unless we get a sudden heatwave

 

The actual celestial solstice occured as Kandy said on the 20th at 23:59 hrs so the next day the 21st is actually the first day of summer and the longest day it allways takes plce on the 21st the variation in the actual time is caused through the slightly eliptical orbit around the sun,midsummers day is as Shiney points out the 24th,everybodys right.
One for my Cookie and other sky watchers, although we will have Moon to contend with in the predawn hours, we will as we pass through another portion of the Ophiuchid meteor stream. The radiant for this pass will be nearer Sagittarius and the fall rate varies from 8 to 20, but it can sometimes produce unexpectedly more we don't usually see many in the summer months due to the light in the skies.(my druids robes kept getting stuck in my bike wheels this morning):D

 

It's raining and quite chilly in London. Newly planted stuff is just sitting around wondering whether it's worth growing I think :( Still lawn can do with a good soaking.

Morning all/well nearly afternoon!

Cold and overcast now, it was glorious at 7am too :(

 

Cold, raining and grey!! But I have still managed to pot up some flowers! neighbours probably think I'm mad....

 

It's orrible here in :(

 

Planned to sort out storage and shelving in the new shed but it's pishing down here in jolly grey London - for a change that is LOL

 

Rain all day yesterday & drizzle here up to 10 minutes ago as the sun has made an appearance & it now feels rather humid! Rather nice I think!
