The place I'm renting is very well insulated but has storage heaters. It's the first time I've lived with these and they've got minds of their own, there's no real happy medium regarding the settings.

Today with the exception of an added breeze was exactly the same as yesterday. :)

Incredibly mild here the last few days, kept above 10C overnight. I've had to leave the greenhouse door open overnight - very rare for me to do that during the spring never mind winter.

Despite the forecast for light and heavy rain showers our 7 mile walk around Studland was rain free and very mild at 11c. The forecast must have put some off as only 9 turned out for it.:frown:

More cloud than sun, which is oh so low in the sky now and blinding. The breeze we had yesterday has disappeared and the forecast is looking better for the next week. 8C/46F

47F and clear skies this morning after the most overcast day of the year yesterday. It's easy for me to tell how overcast it has been by the readings on the meter that connected to our solar panels. We only produced 145 Watts. The day before produced that before I had even thought about making breakfast and our best day of the year, in May, produced almost 200 times that amount.

When we opened our first business in 1957 we had the old fashioned electric night storage heaters, which were great big things filled with concrete blocks. They were horrendously inefficient, but cheap to run, and in modern terms would have been illegal because they couldn't keep the place warm enough all day to comply with 'Elf & Safety'.

No sun or wind today just grey clouds and by 2.30pm the lights were on indoors as the light started to fade outside, 7C/45F. Sunset here was at 3.33pm and over the next few days it will come to a standstill, ready to turn tail and allowing the lighter evenings to grow.

Yesterday didn't turn out too bad. Although it wasn't particularly warm there was no wind so I had a brisk couple of miles walk to the village and back to get some milk. We have, possible, rain today. That's a special kind of rain, I think.

A calm, sunny day with no breeze but being cloudless the temperature has dropped again to a chilly 5C/41F.
