That looks a very practical arrangement, K-G - using it more as a cloche..... great idea! :D

What do you attach your hanging baskets from dendy?

My GH taking up so much time I am struggling to keep up with the rest of the agrden let alone GC!

KG - great bit of kit and I suppose you can just pack it away when you have finished.

I must post some pictures of my Lottery mix on ID section, I have some that are barely 1mm in size and one that is nearly 2foot!

Have you thought about cutting up some wire coat hangers and making your own, Dendrobium?

Need to be pretty heavy duty coat-hangers, Dave! ;)

I couldn't find them in B+Q, but I got some in Homebase, so thanks again, Nicsdad!

    Hi Pal!
I don't believe in buying something if I've 'got something handy' that will do the job just as well.
Coat hanger = paint stirrer, tool hanger, tent/cloche peg, plant peg, drain clearer, pivot for weather vane. Oh yes, and car radio antenna in the past :D ;)

And dog-food tins are very good if you've got a hole in the exhaust...... but there's a thread about that, isn't there? :D

Don't think coat-hangers would be strong enough - hanging baskets are heavy beasts!

I had a busy weekend. A lot of crops are planted in or out depending.
The green netted area is all brassicas, about 100 of them. No lace curtains this year.

The sweet corn and toms are in their final positions. I have yet to put in the cues and pumps, but the courgettes and marrows are out on the veg plot with a wind barrier, if we get a frost, a couple of tarpaulins will cover the entire plot.
Even the strawbs are getting berries on
    [IMG]
Can't wait now for the pickings.. :D [IMG]
