At long last managed to plant out the sweet pea seedlings. Nearly 100! Not Bad. Put up supports for them which will also deter the pigeons from attacking them. Have sown some more indoors for going out into pots later on after the tulips have finished.

Wow! You will get a fine display from 100 plants, @On the Levels! :yay: I reckon each plant usually yields about 125 stems of flowers.

On the Levels, you will have to post some photos later, what a beautiful sight and aroma they will be. Are they all different varieties and have you planted giant sweet peas before?

@Jazmine I will try and remember to do so. We do love the colours and scent of sweet peas but just wish that the greenfly would stay off them as not good to bring greenfly indoors.

I wasn’t sure whether to do a ‘like’ or a ‘funny’ for that positivity that the rain will stop.

I think I’m too late to sow. Am I? I don’t mind buying plugs though, and it’s slightly less disappointing when slugs munch bought ones rather than ones you’ve carefully nurtured from seed.

I only sowed my sweet pea seeds last week. They may flower later but that doesn't bother me. I have to sow anything with a pea or bean seed indoors. If I try to sow them outside little brown furries dig them up and eat them. Once they have a root and stem of a couple of inches they seem to ignore them.

Not too late at all @AuntyRach . I often sow them at this time of year. I just sowed some a couple of days ago, and may do some more soon.
It'll give you a later display, which many people find useful.
Remember that they don't necessarily need lots of sun either. I grow lots of mine in shadier sites, and it isn't as hot or sunny here as many areas.
