There's a few around down here, we might get a population explosion later on, anyone remember 1976? So many of them that tents were collapsing under the weight of them, and they were biting as the heat was making them expand inside their shells & driving them mental.

I saw a Ladybird on Sunday :hapydancsmil: when we went to Hyde Hall. It landed on my hand when we were in their cafe. So I walked it outside and put it on a plant. :blue thumb:

I cleared some borage yesterday and was happily chucking it behind me into a small heap when I realised there were some ladybirds on it. I only found 4 but I put them back onto some nearby plants. Hopefully they'll find plenty to eat. :)

Haven't seen a single ladybird, nor any aphids, only 3 honey bees and no grasshoppers yet.

We've had a definite increase in bees of most species this year and the butterflies are doing really well to, we've had an amazing number of different species this year, very encouraging :) Also got more dragonflies flitting around too, along with quite a few lacewings and hoverflies :)

Sadly still no sign of the ladybirds or grasshoppers

I have seen no Ladybirds this year, the better half says she has seen one! Apart from a few black fly and white fly , I haven't had any aphids, this year, perhaps that is why no ladybirds.

Finally saw 1 on my Cosmos yesterday, and a Black and Red one down by the Marina. But 2 in a 5 mile radius is sorrowfull. (there may have been more, but whilst at the Marina I looked and looked then looked again).
