    Hi,

    I used to wonder where all the blackbirds disappeared to then suddenly weeks later they were here again;

    The blackbirds turned up again about three days ago and are very welcome as are the other birds like Magpies; robins; tits and sparrows etc; Pigeons I treat as enemies because of the huge amount of mess they've caused us over the years; in August I removed a very large oak tree which towered over our patio and kitchen roof; the pigeons used this oak tree branches as toilet seats meaning a daily clean up chore.

    We still have pigeons but now up in the garden nesting in a giant spruce tree; if they remain up there or in the garden then they are no longer a problem and I'll rub along in peace with them.

    I've seen pigeon egg shells quite often in the garden thinking it might be squirrels or magpies raiding the pigeon nests.

    For many years we've had three badgers visiting us at night; we can see them on our CCTV; they mop up cat biscuits and are no trouble to us; we like to live and let live and we'd never hurt or kill anything.

    Humans can't live in peace so wildlife has little chance.

    Kind regards, Colin.
